Mount Sinai’s Award Winning Work Environment
A health-care worker recruitment scam has come to our attention. Emails targeting health-care workers in the Philippines, and possibly in other countries, falsely claim that they are representing Sinai Health System, Mount Sinai Hospital and/or Bridgepoint Active Healthcare. The emails say that they are actively recruiting PSW’s, nurses (RN’s) and midwives to come to Canada and are guaranteeing these individuals 3 months training and then 2 to 3 year employment contracts at our hospital for a fee. This program does not exist. Under no circumstances does Sinai Health System ask for fees in our recruitment process. Please consider any such emails to be fraudulent.
Mount Sinai Hospital was built on the principles of respect and equality. That legacy continues today with our commitment to health equity and to providing exceptional care that is accessible to all members of our community. Everyone who works here is committed and qualified to provide excellent care.
At Mount Sinai Hospital, we foster a healthy and positive work environment that respects the dignity and diversity of each member of the community. Any form of discrimination, harassment or violence is unacceptable and is not tolerated. Every patient, visitor and staff member at the Hospital is protected under our Human Rights and Health Equity, and Workplace Violence Prevention policies.
We also support a barrier-free workplace supported by the Hospital’s Accessibility Plan, Accommodation and Disability Management Policies and Procedures. In addition, we are a scent sensitive environment and all members of the community are expected to refrain from wearing and/or using scented products while working or visiting the Hospital.
Everyone at Mount Sinai Hospital deserves to be treated with respect. You deserve it. So does everyone who works here. You will be expected to review and become familiar with all related policies as part of your on-boarding process so that we all will continue to make a positive contribution in a manner that is inclusive, healthy and accommodating of each other.
