Canada's largest NICU marks World Prematurity Day

As the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Canada, Mount Sinai Hospital cares more than 1,000 premature and vulnerable babies. On Saturday November 17th, the CN Tower was illuminated purple to mark World Prematurity Awareness Day and to raise awareness about the approximately 1 in 10 babies that are born premature.
