Crane impacting southbound traffic on University Avenue
There will be no access to southbound lanes on University Avenue between College Street and Gerrard Street West, and the sidewalk in front of the hospital building will be partially restricted.


•  Safe access to the Emergency Department and main hospital will be maintained at all times but staff, patients and visitors are encouraged to avoid the area when possible and use alternate entrances (Murray Street).

Construciton of an external structure required for redevelopment project. Friday, April 19, 11 p.m. to Saturday, April 20 at 11 p.m.

(Weather permitting, lane closures may continue until Sunday, April 21 at 11 p.m.)
Closure of Stair 2 (exits behind Second Cup on the main floor) 
On floor 9, this stairwell may only be used to access floors above.  On floor 4, this stairwell may only be used to access lower floors.

  Construction of new Pathology and Laboratory Medicine space. 11th floor will reopen in Spring/Sumer 2019.

Scaffolding Installation near the Tunnel to SickKids and Toronto General Hospital
Level 1

To improve the hospital’s heating and cooling systems. Scaffolding to be installed April 16 and 17.

Emergency Driveway Closure
Our Emergency Driveway is restricted to ambulances, police vehicles and pedestrians only, but we remain open to all patients. See a map.
