Mental Health services of the family medicine clinic

The Mount Sinai Academic Family Health Team’s mental health staff work with patients living with mental health problems to promote healing and foster resilience. Our experienced team includes two social workers who work collaboratively with other health team members to meet the needs of patients.

Services include:

  • Supportive counseling
  • Short-term psychotherapy
  • Groups for individuals and their families
  • Medication and symptom management
  • Referral to psychiatric services
  • Assistance in accessing services in the community
