Smoking Cessation Counselling

Looking to quit smoking?  We can help

The smoking cessation program is open to patients of the family health team who want help to quit smoking.  Treatment and support is provided by a Nurse Practitioner trained in smoking cessation, with a focus on decreasing the prevalence of smoking and tobacco use.

Our program services include:

  • Helping you choose a smoking cessation aid
  • Setting your Quit Date
  • Individualized follow up appointments for support and counseling
  • Preparation for your Quit Date
  • Support in your first few weeks as a non-smoker
  • Helping you to remain smoke free

Smoking Cessation and Pregnancy

Jackie Ripco RN is a TEACH trained smoking cessation counselor with specialized training in pregnancy and smoking cessation counseling. This is a woman centered, holistic and non judgmental approach to smoking cessation.
