How You Can Help Support Diabetes Research and Treatment

There are several ways you can support diabetes research and treatment:

  • Volunteer to participate in a research study. As a diabetes research centre, we are constantly doing different kinds of studies to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. Most of our studies are related to decreasing the complications associated with diabetes. See our current research studies, and tell your doctor or diabetes educator if you are interested in participating.
  • Join the Canadian Diabetes Association. This is an excellent way to keep up with the latest developments about diabetes. Your yearly membership ($20) includes a subscription to 'Diabetes Dialogue', a very helpful magazine that includes articles, recipes, and stories about people living with diabetes. A portion of the money from the membership fee also goes towards funding diabetes research.
  • Make a donation. Donations to the Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes are used to develop patient education materials, conduct research studies and buy much needed equipment for the unit.
  • You can donate online now to the Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes, or contact the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation at 416-586-8203 and specify that you would like your gift to be directed towards the Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes.

Thank you for your support!
