If hypoglycemia occurs, be sure to follow the hypoglycemia treatment protocol.
2. Hyperglycemia (high blood glucose over 15.9 mmol/L) that:
- is accompanied by nausea or vomiting or ketones
- occurs often or at the same time everyday
- whenever you need assistance in getting your blood sugars to target.
- refer to the Sick Day Guidelines (PDF)
3. Whenever your sugars are not in goal range or you have questions about your diabetes.
