Maternal Infant Program

The Maternal Infant Program at Mount Sinai Hospital is a type of prenatal service not found in many other hospitals. Our advanced practice nurses provide assessment and advice, information and support to pregnant women as well as their partners.pregnancy.jpg

As a patient, you have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with nurses to discuss your questions and concerns. Our nurses will then be a resource for you throughout your woman's pregnancy and the early weeks of motherhood.

We also run an anaesthetic clinic for women with medical conditions who may need to have Caesarean sections or for women with questions about the anaesthesia options available during delivery (such as an epidural, used to manage labour pain).
