Mature Women's Health Program

Part of the Frances Bloomberg Centre for Women’s and Infants’ Health

The Mature Women’s Health Program provides advanced consultation for women experiencing difficult menopausal symptoms.

The program addresses the following clinical problems:

  • intractable hot flashes
  • abnormal vaginal bleeding around the time of menopause
  • new mood and sleep problems associated with menopause
  • issues with hormone replacement therapy

Patients with more complicated medical, oncologic and gynaecologic problems that impact the menopause experience are often candidates for advanced consultation.

The program is offered every Monday by gynaecologists and nurses. It is held in the Women’s Unit of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the 3rd floor of the Ontario Power Generation building.

Patients who wish to receive consultation must get a referral from their health-care provider.
