Novel risk factors for metabolic and cardiovascular disease, including adipokines, inflammatory proteins and markers of endothelial dysfunction. Dr. Zinman is the Principal Investigator of the University of Toronto Centre for the DCCT/EDIC (Diabetes Control and Complications Trial/Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications) study.
