Infection Control
The Infection Control division at MSH is a recognized leader in the field. Team members are active in local, national and international programs.
The team provides consultative support to Scarborough General and Peel Memorial Hospitals and has extensive links with other hospitals and long-term care institutions.
Team members are very active in advising others when consulted on the management of nosocomial outbreaks, and the detection, identification and transmission of antibiotic resistant organisms. We also provide typing of isolates to support outbreak investigations.
