Infant and Child CPR

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Saves Lives

For parents with babies in the NICU and Level 2 Nursery at Mount Sinai

It is important for you to take a CPR course BEFORE your baby is discharged home. We recommend that you take this course when your baby is between 30 to 35 week’s gestation. This will help you in feeling better equipped in an emergency and more comfortable taking your baby home.

This course is offered by the Respiratory Therapy & Nursing Departments. Parents whose babies are transferred to their local hospital can return to take the CPR course.

When an interpreter is required, a family can receive a CPR course on an individual basis.
