Patient Information

PLM DeskPLM at Mount Sinai Hospital is a leader in patient laboratory services in Canada. Our laboratories provide support to many hospitals, medical clinics and health-care professionals in the Greater Toronto Area, across Canada and the world.

PLM performs a wide range of services including blood tests and specialized tissue analysis. All services require an order from a physician who will receive the results when they are available.

 

Patient Specimen Collection Centres

PLM has three ambulatory care laboratories to collect patient specimens (see map and directions):

Mount Sinai Hospital
Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Health Complex
60 Murray Street, 2nd floor
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Mount Sinai Hospital (Main Building)
Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Health Complex
600 University Avenue, 4th floor
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


Mount Sinai Hospital (Ontario Power Generation Building)
Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Health Complex
700 University Avenue, 3rd floor
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

All services are ordered by your doctor using standard order forms. Please bring the completed order form and your health card with you.
 

Andrology Services

This laboratory offers testing related to the male reproductive system.

Mount Sinai Hospital
Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Health Complex
600 University Avenue, 6th floor
Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

All andrology services must be made by appointment. If you have been asked to arrange an appointment or are not able to make your appointment with the Andrology laboratory, please call 416-586-5948.
 

Clinical Laboratory Services

Clinical laboratory services provide the following specialized tests:

  • Endocrine Function
  • Glucose Tolerance
  • Lactose Tolerance
  • Liver Function
