The Family Medicine Genetics Program

Part of the Granovsky Gluskin Family Medicine Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital

The Family Medicine Genetics Program, launched in September 1997, is affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital.

This website gives primary health care providers practical, current information regarding screening and prevention of hereditary disorders. It contains information about specific genetic disorders as well as links to other sites where you can find more information.

The program was initially funded by a grant from the Imperial Oil Charitable Foundation. it has expanded by developing and evaluating education modules and clinical tools through several grant funded research projects:
