Visitor Information

Visiting hours are from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

All visitors must check in with the ward clerk or nurse at the nursing station.

All items brought in for patients must be inspected by nursing staff. The following items are not permitted on the unit: scissors, razor blades, knives, glass, matches, lighters, plastic bags, pop cans, any drugs or drug paraphernalia. For the safety of all patients on the unit, other items may be confiscated at staff’s discretion.

There are two pay phones on the unit that receive incoming calls. The numbers are:

  • 416-971-8700
  • 416-971-8056

Incoming calls later than 10 p.m. are discouraged.

The unit requires that any person under the age of 15 be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children are not to be left unattended and noisy, disruptive behaviour is not permitted.

Visitors will be asked to wait or leave the unit while individual or group therapy sessions are occurring.

Out of respect for other patients in the room, visits occur in the common areas.
