The Evidence-Based Psychotherapist

This highly interactive skills-based workshop for psychotherapy practitioners and faculty focuses on the therapeutic alliance, one of the most researched aspects of psychotherapy that is robustly related to patient outcomes across all psychotherapy modalities. We provide practical approaches to enliven therapeutic processes, and improve alliances and outcomes - applying attachment and interpersonal theories within a culturally- and trauma-informed approach that is responsive to individual patient differences and clinical challenges using techniques of mentalizing and metacommunication.
