Beverly Young

Perinatology, Post-Partum Depression

Dr. Bev Young is currently the Clinical Director of the Perinatal Mental Health Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She received her medical degree from Queen’s University in 1996, and her fellowship in Psychiatry from the University of Toronto in 2001. She has subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as Women’s Mental Health. Her clinical interests involve women’s mental health issues across the reproductive life cycle. Specifically, she treats women with anxiety/ depression in pregnancy, postpartum, or after a perinatal loss (miscarriage/ termination/stillbirth).
