Chief Residents Clinic

The focus of the Chief Resident clinic (CRC) is to provide short term gyneacologic care to patients seen in the Emergency departments of Mount Sinai, hospital and the University Health Network.

Referrals from other sources are returned with suggestions for alternate options. During patient assessments in Emergency, patients who have their own gynecologist are referred back to their care. Referrals to the CRC are triaged based on urgency. Upon discharge from Emergency, patients are given information necessary to call the Women's unit and book their follow-up appointment.

This unit is staffed by the Chief Resident, residents and nurses. This clinic provides the Chief Resident office experience in managing patient care from assessment to discharge. If the Chief Resident needs to discuss a patient's plan of care a staff gynecologist is always available for consult.
