Develop a daily mindfulness meditation practice and become familiar with key skills and knowledge needed to lead mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) or mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) groups.

Participants of the six-day workshop series will gain a foundation in the skills of mindfulness practice and mindfulness-based group facilitation, and will be able to assess their own readiness to lead mindfulness-based groups.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction helps to enhance moment-to-moment awareness, transforming one’s relationship and responses to difficult emotions, thoughts, and stressors.

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy has been shown to halve the rate of depression relapse in patients with three or more previous episodes of major depression.
