Non-Affliliated Medical Staff and Students

The library collection is searchable through the University of Toronto online catalogue.  Visitors are welcome to visit the library for research and study.  The library is wheelchair accessible.  Please ask a staff member if you need assistance in accessing any materials or equipment.
Services available :

• computer terminals with Internet access

• photocopying / printing - 10¢ per page
   

Please note : Our online catalogue includes books from our Microbiology, Pathology and Pharmacy departments.  When one of these locations is indicated in the book record in the catalogue, visitors should call ahead to verify the availablity of the item. 
 

Other Libraries

The Sidney Liswood Library is a member of Docline - the National Library of Medicine's interlibrary loan request and referral system. Our Docline LIBID is ONCOUS.  For Racer requests our location code is OTMS.  We also accept requests by email to library@mtsinai.on.ca or phone 416-586-4800 x4614.

InterLibrary Loan fees

• Docline Freeshare libraries, reciprocal partners and members of the Health Sciences Information Consortium of Toronto (HSICT) - no charge
• Requests from non-profit organizations - $10 or reciprocal charges
• Requests from for-profit organizations - $25
   

Fee Based Services

The library offers a fee-based information and research service for users outside of the Mount Sinai Hospital community. Fees vary for each project and those interested in using this service should contact Valda Poplak for further information.
