Course Objectives

The goal of this symposium is to provide useful up-to-date information for physicians and other health professionals on controversial issues in fetal ultrasound findings and new technologies in prenatal diagnosis. It will also provide updates on a variety of recent breakthroughs in the medical genetics field.

Accreditation

 

This program has been submitted for accreditation with the following accreditting bodies:

  • The Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • The College of Family Physicians of Canada for MAINPRO®-M1 credits
  • For nurses, this course will fulfill the requirement for reflective practice.
  • The American Board of Genetic Counselling (through NSGC).  Those individuals who wish to apply for 6.75 CEU 1 credits must bring a cheque or cash for $35.00 on the day of the event and be prepared to submit a Self Reporting Form which will be supplied by the conference organizers.
  • The AMA Physician's Recognition Award (NOTE:  Sonographers will receive credits through the AMA Physician's Recognition Award towards CSDMS).
  • Application has been made for accreditation from the Canadian Association of Genetic Counselors.  Credits from this organization will be available at the time of the course.
