Principles of Biohazard Critical Care Presentation
A review of important concepts related to the safer provision of critical care to patients during infectious disease outbreaks. These concepts include personal protective equipment, surge planning, and triage of scarce critical care resources. This presentation has been specifically updated to discuss issues related to the H1N1 Swine Flu/Mexican Flu outbreak. The content was originally presented during a Webinar by Dr. Randy Wax, Medical DIrector of PREPS, for Mexican intensive care providers on April 27th, 2009.
