I love interacting with our students and providing them with practical training that complements their theory-based learning. Our Surgical Skills Centre helps students with their “muscle memory” to reinforce what they’ve learned in textbooks and the classroom.

The training also helps the trainees gain confidence in their surgical skills so that they can perform better in the future.

I do my job for the students. The courses take a ton of preparation – a team effort - but in the end students receive excellent training and appreciate and recognize our hard work. This appreciation is what motivates us to go above the standards for our trainees.

I worked in the Mount Sinai Operating Room for 19 years and joined the Surgical Skills Centre in 2000. The Hospital has provided me with amazing opportunities to grow and learn.

Our Centre and the whole Hospital is full of mentors dedicated to educating and students open to learning.
