iCAMIRA Online Facilitator’s Resource Manual

Interprofessional Collaborative Assessment and Management of Illness Related Anxiety

iCAMIRA Facilitator’s Resource ManualWelcome to the Interprofessional Collaborative Assessment and Management of Illness Related Anxiety (iCAMIRA) online Facilitator’s Resource Manual. Illness related patient anxiety is a normal type of anxiety that patients and their families experience from being ill and in hospital.

This online resource manual contains information and resources for developing and implementing a training program to assess and manage illness related patient anxiety. This training does not focus on the psychiatric diagnosed type of anxiety. The materials were developed and used in a pilot project at Mount Sinai Hospital, and have been collated here for use by other organizations.

The training is intended for interprofessional teams on inpatient medical and surgical units, but can be adapted to other audiences as well. The training involves two components, including a didactic, eLearning module, followed by a hands-on experiential learning program (Scenario DVD).
