Partnership Profile

Scadding Court Community Centre

Founded in 1975, Scadding Court Community Centre (SCCC) is a multi-service organization located at the corner of Dundas and Bathurst Streets.  The Centre provides services directed at culturally diverse groups such as low-income families, at risk children and youth, newcomers, people living with disabilities and seniors.

Mount Sinai Hospital and Scadding Court Community Centre have worked together for more than 20 years to make health information and the health care system more accessible to diverse community members. Eye and ear screening clinics for ethno-cultural seniors, hip and knee arthritis assessment clinics, and health education workshops for youth are among the partnership activities that our organizations have been known to collaborate on.
The Hospital is also a founding sponsor of the “Investing in our Diversity Scholarship Program”, now celebrating its 11th year. The program awards post-secondary scholarships to young leaders from marginalized communities who are active on issues of diversity, anti-racism and working to improve the health and well-being of their communities.

We greatly value our partnership with Scadding Court Community Centre and we look forward to a continued mutually rewarding relationship as we collaborate to improve the health outcomes of the communities we serve.
