Mount Sinai recognized for being a great place to work

Mount Sinai Hospital has once again been named as one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures.  The Hospital shares this impressive designation with many leading Canadian organizations within both the broader public sector and private sector.

Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures, now in its eighth year, annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having a culture that has helped them enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.

“The Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures award underscores the exceptional talent within Mount Sinai’s clinical and administrative teams, as well as the continued ambition to create a culture of excellence that enables the Hospital to be an operationally effective, top performing organization,” said Joseph Mapa, President and CEO of Mount Sinai Hospital.

The award is the latest in a series of high profile recognition of the Hospital’s commitment to workplace excellence, including the 2013 Quality Healthcare Workplace Platinum award, Canada’s Best Diversity Employer, Canada’s Best Employer for New Canadians, and the GTA Top Employer award.

“I learned early in my career that people are the heart and soul of any organization and I can’t think of a better example than here at Mount Sinai,” said Joseph Mapa. “I am moved by the dedication shown by our staff to deliver the best medicine and to our patient care mission.”
