Endodontic Clinic

Endodontics is commonly known as "root canal treatment". It is the brand of dentistry that focuses on the morphology, physiology, and pathology of the dental pulp and the issues surrounding the rooth of a tooth. The goal of endodontic therapy is to address inflammation or infection within the tooth. Root canal treatment allows for preservation of teeth that would otherwise require extraction. Given the consequences associated with tooth loss and the complexities associated with tooth replacement, endodontic treatment is safe, conservative and biological modality to retain natural teeth in the mouth.

Please see here for more information about root canal treatment.

Our endodontist specialists have expertise in diagnosing pain of dental origin. At Mount Sinai, we provide endodontic care for patients when their medical, physical or mental status indicates the need for treatment in a hospital environment.
