Be Breast Healthy

Learn and Lower Your Cancer Risk

A  six-step learning program for women who want to:

  • Know more about breast health
  • Learn about their risk of breast cancer
  • Choose healthy lifestyle choices that will improve overall health and may lower the risk of developing breast cancer.
Developed by breast cancer experts at the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital, a University of Toronto teaching hospital, part of Sinai Health System.

What to expect

This is a six-step web-based tool to help women learn about breast health. Our team created the content based on our knowledge about breast health and on common questions women have asked us.

Each module will take 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

Modules

Before each module, there will be a short quiz to assess your level of knowledge. At the end of each module, you will be given the same quiz in order to see what you’ve learned, and you’ll also be shown the correct answers with an explanation.

‘Be Breast Healthy: Learn and Lower your Cancer Risk’ is made possible through generous philanthropic support from Under Armour®.

Personalized recommendations and Privacy

There are questions inserted in this tool which ask about your eating habits and activity level so that personalized recommendations can be given to you. Your account will be protected by a password and will not be shared with anyone and complies with Sinai Health System privacy policies and provincial regulations, including PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act). We will collect anonymized data about participants’ responses to questions for the purpose of assessing learning, interest in the website, and areas of improvement.
