Hong Fook Mental Health Association was established in 1982 to address the mental health concerns in the East Asian communities. They currently serve these communities:

  • Cambodian
  • Chinese
  • Korean
  • Vietnamese

The Association aims to help people with linguistic and cultural barriers to gain access to mental health services.

They provide the following services to clients and their families:

  • counseling
  • case management
  • assessment
  • consultation
  • advocacy
  • psycho-educational workshops and support groups
  • special ESL (English as a Second Language) classes
  • housing services

They also provide community education and promotion activities. The mandate of their services is within Toronto.

The Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is the service arm of the Yee Hong family. It carries the responsibilities of planning and delivering high quality and culturally appropriate services to enable seniors to live their lives to the fullest - in the healthiest, most independent and dignified ways. Officially opened in October 1994, the Yee Hong Centre offers a continuum of care services to Chinese seniors and long term care services to seniors from various cultural backgrounds including South Asian, Filipino and Japanese communities so they enjoy the best quality of life. Thousands of seniors benefit from our long term care, senior housing, medical and rehabilitation services and community-based programs every day.
