Ruth Burnett Centre for Outpatient Oncology

A program of the Christopher Sharp Centre for Surgical Oncology

The Ruth Burnett Centre is a unique, multidisciplinary clinic providing personalized ambulatory cancer care to over 240 patients each week. Our health-care services are specific to cancer patients and are accessed in a single location to help reduce anxiety for the most critically ill and enhance the quality of care.

Patients are treated for a range of cancers including breast, colon, bowel and lung cancer, as well as disorders of the blood.

The Centre is also home to Canada's only dedicated sarcoma clinic. Sarcoma is a rare cancer of connective tissue, the same cancer that Terry Fox succumbed to. Sarcoma patients from across the country visit the Centre, making it one of the top 10 clinics of its kind in the world in terms of patient volumes.
