Patient Meals

Healthy, wholesome and nutritious food is essential to our patients’ healing process and part of a holistic care experience.

At Mount Sinai Hospital, our food services team is collaborating to provide patient meals that:

  • Deliver good nutrition
  • Tailored to individual health needs

While in the Hospital

We offer a weekly menu and patients can complete their meal choices one day in advance. A supplemental menu may be distributed to patients who are admitted for longer than two weeks.

Special Nutrition Services

Mount Sinai Hospital is proud to serve a diverse community and can provide accommodations to meet a variety of dietary needs. Special meal requests are available.

In some cases, patients will receive a therapeutic diet and nutritional education in addition to their medical treatment. A visit from a dietitian or diet technician can be requested through the care team, or on the patient menu order form.

Quality Control

To ensure safety, stringent quality control measures are in place. Patient satisfaction surveys provide valuable feedback and identify opportunities for improvement. For more information contact the Department of Nutrition and Food Services at 416-586-4800 ext. 5025.
