Breaking the Mental Health Stigma in the Jewish Community
This is a regular series of talks led by mental health leaders from Sinai Health addressing stigma related to mental illness that exists
in the Jewish community. Every ethno-cultural community has its own approaches, philosophies and values that can both strengthen our understanding of mental health, but may also serve as barriers to address issues.
This series, launched in partnership with a number of Jewish organizations seeks to understand those influences within a Jewish context, and provide insight into the importance of breaking down barriers to care. Panels include clinical, spiritual and community leaders as well as speakers with personal and lived experience.
