Rheumatology

The Rebecca MacDonald Centre for Arthritis and Autoimmune Disease at Mount Sinai Hospital is a comprehensive centre integrating clinical care, research and education for rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.

About the Centre

There are more than 100 different reasons to visit a rheumatologist. We work on identifying the causes, monitoring the progression, diagnosing and treating a variety of disorders affecting the joints, bones, tendons, ligaments and soft tissues. These areas of the body can be affected by inflammation, degeneration, metabolism-related changes or genetic abnormalities.

What to Expect

Your appointment

Current patients can make or reschedule appointments by calling their rheumatologist's office directly. Please provide a phone number or valid email address to be reached with any last-minute scheduling changes. For any cancellations, please contact us within 48 hours.

Getting a Mount Sinai Hospital card

If you do not have a Mount Sinai Hospital card, you can obtain a card at Patient Registration which is located at Mount Sinai Hospital at 600 University Avenue.

We suggest you allow yourself an extra 20 to 30 minutes for this process.
