Nutritional Counselling

Nutrition services are provided free of charge to patients of the family health team.

Dietitians are the recognized food and nutrition professionals in Canada.  They can help translate the complex science of nutrition into practical healthy eating solutions for you and your family.  You can meet with our dietitian for a one-on-one nutritional counselling session where she will work with you to develop goals and plans for a healthier diet and lifestyle.

Our dietitian provides specialized nutrition therapy to help you manage chronic conditions such as:

    • High cholesterol
    • High blood pressure
    • Osteoporosis
    • Obesity
    • Celiac disease and gluten intolerance
    • Food allergies and sensitivities

Our dietitian can also help you:

    • Achieve and maintain a healthy body weight
    • Plan balanced meals and snacks
    • Optimize your diet during pregnancy
    • Learn about infant and child nutrition
    • Plan a healthy vegetarian diet
    • Learn how to read food labels
    • Learn to make healthier choices when eating out
    • Decide when to take vitamins or supplements
    • And more!
