Research and Learning
New frontiers in cancer care research
Sinai Health’s Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) is among the world’s top biomedical research institutes. More than 40 per cent of the science at the LTRI is focused on cancers. Our discoveries help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer better – improving care for people in our local community and around the world.
Innovative education that supports excellent patient care
As an academic health science centre, Sinai Health fosters a culture where everyone is a learner. We invest in our people and their continual learning to provide our patients and caregivers with access to the best and brightest cancer physicians, surgeons, nurses, allied health professionals and more.
We believe the combination of energy, fresh thinking and sharing knowledge broadly benefits the hospital, the student – and ultimately our patients.
Mount Sinai Hospital is a teaching hospital, which means we are training the next generation of cancer health professionals. Health care trainees may join other members of a patient’s health care team for various parts of treatment.
Clinical trials
Clinical trials help doctors and researchers find ways to improve treatments and the quality of life for people living with a disease. Learn more about clinical trials at Mount Sinai Hospital.
