Mammography Education Resources for Women with Disabilities

The following information and educational resources about mammography, breast cancer screening, and disability are for women with disabilities and the people who work with them.  These materials were developed at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada, and have been collected here for use by other people and organizations.  The film is 15 minutes in length, and provides education about the experience of mammography and how to communicate with healthcare providers during breast cancer screening. The tip sheets, guides, and links to recommended resources provide education about breast health, when and where to go for accessible breast cancer screening, and how to prepare for mammography.  These resources may be used for individual learning or included in the development and implementation of health promotion programs for women with disabilities.
