Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring our programs and services are completely accessible to all members of the community.

Mount Sinai's Accessibility Plan

On September 29, 2003, the Mount Sinai Hospital Board of Directors adopted the following "Accessibility Planning Policy" for the organization. Mount Sinai Hospital is committed to:

  • the continual improvement of access to facilities, policies, programs, practices and services for patients and their family members, staff, health care practitioners, volunteers and members of the community;
  • the participation of people with disabilities in the development and review of its annual accessibility plans;
  • ensuring hospital by-laws and policies are consistent with the principles of accessibility; and
  • The establishment of an Accessibility Working Planning Committee at Mount Sinai Hospital (see our Terms of Reference - 57 KB pdf pdf icon).
