Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Bill Gayner, BSW, MSW, RSW, is a Mental Health Professional in the Clinic for HIV-Related Concerns, Department of Psychiatry, Mount Sinai Hospital, and a Field Instructor with the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Bill is Co-Principal Investigator of two funded studies: a randomized-controlled trial of mindfulness-based stress reduction for men living with HIV (funded by the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR)) and PHA ACCESS, a community-based research capacity-building project involving the Clinic for HIV-Related Concerns and seven community-based HIV agencies (funded by the Ontario HIV Treatment Network(OHTN)). He co-leads “Mindfulness Professional Training Workshops,” a  bi-annual series of workshops in Continuing Education, Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. His interests include mindfulness, community mental health and integrative psychotherapy.
