The Reitman Centre Training Institute for Health Care Professionals
The Reitman Centre Training Institute for Health Care Professionals offers a variety of evidence-based, accredited training programs. The interactive training models offer health care professionals opportunities to learn the skills presented in the Reitman Centre CARERS program. Three levels of training are offered:
1. A focused one day training workshop for health professionals interested in learning the application of Problem Solving Therapy in helping caregivers. Skills learned can improve the care professionals provide to seniors and their caregivers in the community.
2. A comprehensive three-day training workshop for health professionals wanting to establish a CARERS Program in their setting.
3. An advanced train the trainer program which includes the 3 day program plus observation of group intervention including, where appropriate and possible, an apprenticeship model of co-leadership and supervision.
